Pink cloud effect is a term taken from the American alcohol withdrawal program where the patient goes through 12 different stages. The phase often occurs early in the treatment course and is characterized by an intense feeling of happiness and belief in one's own abilities to overcome the addiction.
This is an allegoric title of the live performance, which I staged together with two highly talented performers. The text used in the show is sampled from soap operas, reality TV, breakup forums, and other darker corners of the internet.
The audience witnesses a comical and grotesque female combat where narcissistic characters fight with each other for ''that perfect rich guy'' and public recognition in the setting of fake azure paradise. The shiny paradise soon reveals the morbid side of what it really is: a toxic land all full of plastic garbage, popping latex balloons, plucked blonde wigs, and fake broken nails.

About
Attuned to the leading artistic concept, I designed the stage environment, which follows the aesthetical narrative of the luxurious indoor swimming pool. The selected color palette encompasses lagoon and azure blues, contrasted with hot pink highlights and deep mysterious purples for the most dramatic mise-en-scènes.
One of the most important set elements - ''water effect'' - was simulated by covering the floor with hundreds of transparent balloons, accompanied by the huge inflatable swan and an iron pad, during the show transforming into a surfboard, tanning bed, or a horse saddle.
